The concept of the Global Village was first popularised in the 1960s as modern communications made our planet a much smaller place.

For many years Global Village English Centres has been bringing students together from around the world to enjoy a complete experience in a choice of exciting locations.

By offering a broad range of high quality programs, a wide selection of accommodation options and a full year-round schedule of activities, we want students to enjoy a total experience - this is your chance to get to know new countries and share your culture with people from all over the globe!

Through our GV360° philosophy, academic excellence, quality accommodation, and engaging activities, we provide a whole service from the moment you decide to come to our schools until you return home.

This year, we would like to encourage you to go beyond the classroom; our English Plus programs bring serious language study together with the unique activities for which our great locations are famous.

Be it in our four Australian locations (associate schools in Sydney, Brisbane, Perth and Noosa), we will be sure to provide you with an education that will serve you a lifetime - see you soon!

Accreditation list Australian Council for Private Education and Training (ACPET)

What is ACPET ?

The national industry association for independent providers of post-compulsory education and training, for Australian and international students, including:

  • Higher Education
  • Vocational Education and Training
  • English Language Courses
  • Senior Secondary Studies
  • Foundation Studies

The ACPET Mission is to:

Enhance quality, choice, innovation and diversity in Australian education and training for individual, national and global development. Work pro-actively and co-operatively with government, education and training providers, industry and community organisations, in order to ensure that vocational and higher education and training services provide choice and diversity, and well-targeted, appropriately delivered courses which are widely accessible and of high quality.

National ELT Accreditation Scheme (NEAS)

Our role:

The broad aim of NEAS is to establish and uphold high standards of service provision in English Language Teaching.

The purpose of the scheme is:

  • to set standards of quality in the provision of ELT programs and related services
  • to provide a professional judgment as to whether ELT centres meet and continue to meet those standards

In achieving our purpose, NEAS is:

  • Rigorous in its audit regime so as to sustain high levels of delivery of English language teaching;
  • Supportive of the industry through maintaining a role of offering external continual improvement advice to ELT centres;
  • Co-operative in its dealings with industry and government representatives when working to the benefit of the industry and its key beneficiaries, the students studying English;
  • Open in its willingness to learn and participate in the future of the industry and open to reviews and evaluations of its own operations.

NEAS also aims to develop quality in service provision of ELT centres by taking a professional development role in the ELT sector. Information sessions are at times offered by NEAS which are aimed at raising awareness of quality issues in ELT, and NEAS convenes an annual national conference for the benefit of ELT managers. This conference focuses on management issues typically facing ELT managers, with the content based on the needs of the participants.

General Comment:

The Global Village is a wonderful place for learning English: first, there is Brisbane itself, which is a beautiful town with a lot of interesting places and people! Secondly the school : I met so many people there, everything was very international, and I learned a lot about different cultures and traditions. Of course everything on English :) it was a wonderful experience and I really broaden my horizon!
