The College is recognised by a number of education and training bodies and industry groups. ELSIS and all its courses are accredited by the National ELT Accreditation Scheme Limited (NEAS) - Australia´s national accreditation scheme for English Language Teaching centres.
ELSIS and all its courses are also listed on the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS) with provider number 02644C. ELSIS is thus approved to accept overseas students. Furthermore, as a registered provider, ELSIS is required to comply with the National Code of Practice for Registration Authorities and Providers of Education and Training to Overseas Students (the National Code).
ELSIS holds institutional accreditation through membership of the Australian Council For Private Education and Training (ACPET) - an industry association representing the needs of institutions and those providing courses to international students, domestic students and/or practical training to prepare people for the workforce.
ELSIS is located in the heart of the shopping and entertainment area of downtown Sydney. The School is located within metres of some of Australia´s best shopping centres, bars, clubs and tourist attractions.

NEAS also aims to develop quality in service provision of ELT centres by taking a professional development role in the ELT sector. Information sessions are at times offered by NEAS which are aimed at raising awareness of quality issues in ELT, and NEAS convenes an annual national conference for the benefit of ELT managers. This conference focuses on management issues typically facing ELT managers, with the content based on the needs of the participants.
